GARAGE SALE GURU
There is no other way to say this other than to just come right out and say it - I have become a garage sale obsesser... there, now I've said it!
I love it, but the hardest part is getting 3 kids and husband out of bed early enough to get up and go before the pickens get slim. The kids love it too, ok they like it. And they only like it when they find good toys specifically LEGO. Every day I get Kijiji notices sent to me giving me the heads up of any new garage sale postings in our area and I quickly jot down the address and pertanent info in my little garage sale agenda.
Saturday morning we head out and tackle the list of the most or best sounding ones first and of course on the way we to each we see a dozen other bristol board signs in neon colours just calling out to us so we have to stray from my carefully laid out mappings and make a few detours on along the way.
Another thing I love about garage and yard sales are that it gives us an opportunity to meet some of our neighbours and local town residents which we would otherwise wouldn't say boo to. For the most part people are really friendly.
Now you make think it's all a bunch of junk that no one else wants, but I tell you someone else's junk is our treasure or it will be after I get done refurbishing it.
Take a gander at some the little items I've come across over the past few summer weekends and brought back to our humble abode to live out their lives just a little longer. Most of them dirt cheap or free, some people just give stuff away! Granted I don't know how much stuff I can actually continue to give new life back to, as I fear the risk of being called a hoarder. But I'm not I tell you I'm not!! Anyhoodles, take a looksee at some of our great findings;
