WASAGA BEACH SUMMERS

The end of January always seems like a good time to think of the warm summer to come which also leads me to reminisce of some of the best parts of summers gone by...

I have gone to Wasaga Beach every single summer at for as long as I can remember, both as a child and as a teenager and for over the past 7 years or so we've gone with Chris' family to a rental cottage.

Chris' parents started the trend of renting this one particular cottage from the very beginning.  It is in a perfect location, somewhat in the trees and directly across from the beach.  They rented it the first couple years, then one year we rented it and since then his sister Jennifer and her family have been renting it.  We always go to visit whenever some of the fam is up and ALWAYS the kids look forward to the time they spend endlessly playing with their cousins as I did when I was child at our own cottage.

There is never, ever a shortage of things to be done or fun to be had.  Whether it be walking out at as far as you can go on the endless sandbars in the water or playing in the warm waves along the shore, building sand castles in the sand or flying kites on the beach or playing horseshoes back at the cottage, having fantastic family dinners together, taking an after dinner stroll along the beach and watching the most amazing sunsets or sitting by the bonfire on the warm summer nights roasting marshmallows or even watching the baby raccoons rummaging around being silly under the moonlight.

It's all about cottage life and leaving all your woes behind.
